ANTI-GANG UNIT IN WELKOM APPREHENDS 59-YEAR-OLD WOMAN FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING IN CLOCOLAN

Members of the SAPS Welkom Anti-Gang Unit, currently stationed in the Thabo Mofutsanyana District, have intensified their efforts against drug-related offences, leading to the arrest of a 59-year-old woman in Hlohlolwane, Clocolan.
On Sunday, 20 September 2026, members acted on information about suspected drug dealing at a location in Sunflower Section, Hlohlolwane.
This information guided the members to the specified location, where they conducted an operation and apprehended the suspect.
During the operation, police seized various drugs, including crystal methamphetamine, packaged in several small and medium-sized zip-lock bags.
Police also seized Mandrax tablets and cash.
The suspect was taken into custody.
She faces charges of drug dealing and possession and is expected to appear in the appropriate court.
