Mxolisi Dukwana, the speaker of the Free State Legislature, has shared a warm Easter message with the Free State community.

"As we come together with family and loved ones to celebrate Easter, I send heartfelt greetings to everyone in the Free State.

This Easter season carries a profound message of hope, renewal, sacrifice, and resurrection.

It reminds us that after the darkest times, light and new beginnings can emerge.

In the spirit of Easter, we are encouraged to reflect on the values of compassion, forgiveness, unity, and selfless service, which are essential as we strive to build a prosperous, inclusive, and caring Free State.

Throughout the past year, our Province has faced significant challenges, yet the resilience and spirit of our people continue to inspire us.

As the Free State Legislature, we are committed to upholding the Constitution, promoting accountable governance, and ensuring every citizen has a voice in shaping our shared future.

Let this Easter be a time for all of us, across political, cultural, and religious lines, to renew our commitment to working together for the common good.

As many of us travel to be with loved ones during this season, I urge all road users to exercise caution, patience, and responsibility.

Let us protect each other by obeying traffic laws, avoiding reckless driving, and ensuring that every journey is taken with care.

Road safety is not only a personal responsibility but a collective duty to preserve life and safeguard the joy of Easter for all families.

To every family, every community, and every believer throughout the Free State: may the joy of the risen Christ fill your homes with peace, your hearts with hope, and your lives with renewed purpose.

May this Easter bring healing to those who are hurting, strength to those who are weary, and blessings to all.

On behalf of the Free State Legislature, I wish you and your loved ones a blessed, peaceful, and joyful Easter," said Mxolisi Dukwana.
