POLICE LOOK FOR PERSON OF INTEREST TO AID IN RAPE INVESTIGATION

Person of Interest to aid in rape Investigation

The Phuthaditjhaba Family, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit in the Free State is seeking the community's help to find the individual shown in the (composition photo), who is a person of interest and could aid the police in a rape investigation.

In May 2026, around 23:00, the complainant returned home with her boyfriend after visiting a local tavern.

An argument broke out, during which the boyfriend allegedly assaulted her.

Around 04:00 the next morning, he allegedly woke her and demanded she remove her clothes.

When she refused, he reportedly forcibly removed her clothes and raped her in front of her daughter.

The complainant reported the incident to her nearest police station.

Since then, the boyfriend has disappeared, and his location is still unknown.
