POLICE SEARCH FOR INDIVIDUAL TO AID IN RAPE INVESTIGATION

The Bethlehem Family, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit seeks a person of interest to assist with investigations regarding a rape case.
It is reported that on Thursday, 24 September 2026, at around 15:00, the victim was on her way to a shop to repair her cellphone when she was approached by an unknown African male.
The individual allegedly obstructed her path and inquired about her destination.
She mentioned she was headed to a shop for cellphone repairs.
The man purportedly stated he knew her father and suggested a place where she could get her cellphone repaired for less.
The victim was reportedly taken to a shop, where she asked about cellphone repairs.
Subsequently, the suspect allegedly enticed her into a vehicle with another unknown African male seated in the back.
The suspect is said to have driven the victim and the other male to a guesthouse.
Upon arrival, the suspect allegedly changed his mind and drove towards Warden Road, stopping and parking the vehicle by the roadside.
The second unknown male reportedly left the vehicle and departed the scene.
The suspect then allegedly assaulted the victim and raped her.
A rape case is under investigation.
