SEARCH FOR ROBBERY SUSPECTS IN ZASTRON

The police in Zastron are seeking help from the community to locate three unidentified robbery suspects.

It is reported that on Saturday, 5 September 2026, around 19:55, a 27-year-old woman was working as a cashier at a cafe on Matthey Street, Zastron.

She claims she was managing the till's float when an African male suddenly approached the counter with a firearm.

He demanded that she hand over the money from her till and instructed her to remain quiet. The woman then placed the cash she had on the counter.

The suspect then instructed her to open the till, and when she struggled, he threatened her with the firearm.

He forcibly took money from the open till.

The woman also claims that the unknown male proceeded to other tills and took money from another cashier.

She reported that there were three suspects who spoke with a Lesotho accent.

The suspect who robbed her was described as wearing a grey beanie, a greyish jersey, and blue torn denim.

All three suspects were covered with blankets.

Another suspect was wearing a leather jacket, with a beanie covering half of their face.

They took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene.
