The Arrive Alive festive season safety campaign, led by Mohokare Municipality Mayor Teboho Mochechepa, successfully set a new standard for community-driven road safety.
This event was a collaborative effort involving the Mohokare traffic division, Free State traffic officials, EMS, the Department of Home Affairs, Immigration, and SAPS.
The campaign, under Mayor Mochechepa's leadership, achieved significant milestones, impacting the community positively by promoting responsible driving.
During the campaign, 188 vehicles were checked, resulting in 10 fines for traffic violations, demonstrating the municipality's zero tolerance for reckless driving.
The initiative underscored the importance of road safety laws and community unity.
Mayor Mochechepa praised the collective effort, emphasising the ongoing commitment to road safety and reducing accidents.
The campaign sparked increased awareness and responsibility among motorists and pedestrians.
As the festive season nears, the municipality urges vigilance and adherence to traffic laws. The Arrive Alive campaign is an ongoing effort to enhance road safety, with continued support from law enforcement, emergency services, and community partners.
