Gomora and Black Panther actor Connie Chiume has died, aged 72.

Her family shared the news in a short statement posted on her verified Instagram account.

"The Chiume family regrets to inform you of the passing of the international[ly] acclaimed award-winning actress Connie Chiume," read part of the statement.

She died at Garden City Hospital today (Tuesday,6), and her cause of death was not disclosed.
